Following on from the previous post, this post will include a range of designs that include the styles mentioned in the last post but will also include further development.
Collage Style Exploration
This style could be seen as reclaiming the Union Jack to again portray a positive opinion of pride to be British.
Structured Style Exploration
A series of posters using imagery and the “Greens for…” strapline to communicate clear messaging about what the public can expect if they vote for the Green Party. Images used referenced.
I felt really inspired when creating this style of poster and decided it could be interesting to create a motion graphic that shows what the other political parties do/claim/say and why the Green Party are the answer.
Competitor Exploration
I researched statements that the opposing political parties have made or actions they have carried out and included them in a basic poster that uses the colours and typefaces of the related parties.
Bold, Colourful, Strong Identity Exploration
When looking back at my original inspiration of American style campaigns I thought it would be beneficial to create some designs in this style.
I felt inspired by the colours used by the suffragette’s and the meaning behind the colours feels relevant to the Green Party. Purple meaning loyalty, green (asides from the obvious connection) means hope and white means purity and moral virtue (Blakemore, 2021) which is questionable from a lot of politicians.
When exploring shapes for the design I created a soft rounded cross to represent the cross in a ballot box and then continued to experiment in creating other fun shapes that have meanings that represent the Green Party.

At this point in the project, it was a good idea to get some user feedback which is included in the next post.
