In this post I will be explaining the development of two Instagram story videos advertising the creative business consultancy group InfluentHull.
Video 1
The video includes snippets of multiple creatives at work which will spark curiosity in creative business owners. A word is shown over each snippet (using the BCR Novatica typeface that is part of InfluentHull’s brand identity) leading to the company logo. This will keep the user’s attention as they must watch the whole video to find out the full meaning. Additionally, the clips are short and change in time with the music to keep the viewer engaged. The full video is 12 seconds and gets across the message of what InfluentHull do and who they cater for.
The music is an upbeat track that was downloaded from Mix Kit, it has no lyrics and a snappy beat which fitted perfectly with this idea. It immediately provided the video with a professional feel that matches that of a corporate video. However, for users that have the sound turned off it does not affect the understandability of the advert.
The logo and signature sun shape appear and zoom out at the end of the clip, continuing with the InfluentHull brand cohesion.
Video 2
This video includes the colour typography and design elements from the InfluentHull branding. The imagery used is of a welcoming morning meeting and puts the potential client at ease as to what they could expect if they became a client.
The video is clean, precise and has a clear call to action that will drive users through to the website.
